Note: My friend Lady Day agreed with me to write a ‘wish‘ poem, pop over to 75 kaleidoscopes to take a look. Please feel free to bring your wish piece or the link to it, to the comment box below.
Wishes Wet My Heart
There is silence
in me,
one minute forever silence
.
Yesterday’s colour splashes
crude abstract
.
her baby is gone now
.
Wishes track a lonely path to pool
in silver quiet,
that birth is over
.
My tiny love,
vines untangle and spread,
they flourish in grief….
Intention,
to soften the blow,
to cushion the pain,
to withdraw the moment.
But it is not my place to say what should have been,
no softening for her,
but time
maybe.
Awww…you just made me cry…this was a sad truth Silver…one that I’m so sorry to hear, and you and I share a pain very similar..if I percieved this true. Hugs to you love

I have lost a little baby halfway through a pregnancy, this poem brought that up for me although it was written because I have seen a number of posts about the loss of little ones over the last few days, the wish to change things is so strong yet pointless…. ahhh well life is a strange reality, with birth and death and love ….

It is a torturous thing…losing a baby. The emotions can stay so raw and they can cause tears so many years later…well, yet again, more things we have in common…crazy.

I need outside air…all the time…and then ‘breathe’ …today was one of those days. I woke up with a literal pain in my chest and felt broken, poetry, and breathing in the outside, saved me today. I’m off to bed…have an amazing day. and yes…just breathe xo

awesome night really, one of our members, mother passed away, in the early hours of yesterday morning and he came to be touched and moved and helped through it, sometimes I am so grateful for the martial arts family. His spirits were lifted when he went home…oh life it IS a roller coaster on a rainbow of love and sorrow

I love the illustration accompanying this poem. I also like the way the poem appears to move like a row boat. . . a stroke forward, a stroke back. . . I don’t know if that was your intention, but it moves that way.

it wasn’t my intention, but I like what you say and now you have inspired me to look at it again 😉
