Before time
the enclosed garden tremors
and a Lily opens…..
inviting conception
a personal illuminati
a patent
a pact
a private love making
just Me ‘n God
behind patterned screens
the burgeoning idea
levitates
and
then
drawing his Saber
like Obi One Kenobi
HE WHIPS
the halo from my head
pink and silver streak
to far heavens
inside me
like ecstasy
like frisbee frenzy
the veil falls
like crystal singing
my cells
divide
and I become
Once the image and verse make a marvelous pair.

I do like that image and the poem. If I may offer tongue in cheek, “May the force be in you”

That is just so big and expansive, every time I read one of your poems I feel the need to get to my writing pronto. And I love the Obi Wan shout-out, that’s awesome!

looks like I spelt his name wrong! But now I like the ONE ness idea, I have always thought that deep inside I could be a Jedi Knight because i think the way they get their power is by learning how to tap into the ONENESS of universal energy…something I can do (if only briefly here and there) probably why I assumed his name was spelt that way!
AND I too love the feeling of inspiration that moves me when I am the audience to other peoples artistic expression! It is amazon really that we can be so affected, literally tugged around by things we see and read… maybe we ARE ONE… its a cool and crazy thought

That is a wonderful idea. I think the mythology of Star Wars lends itself to some form of singular mysticism… I think Terrence Malick was going at the same thing (one mind, one soul) in The Thin Red Line (great great movie); stories of connections, involuntary but occasionally colliding. But I think what you are on to here is why we feel such connection in reading other people’s words, and what that might mean. It’s an interesting concept against the backdrop of individuality, which is all it seems is happening these days. Maybe art does keep us together. I hope so.

My memory fails me re The Thin Red Line… I’ll watch it again …. I think there is an unconscious remembering that occurs when we read or see something that resonates….. its like we are a singular beast with 7 billion facets…or there is a need to individualise so as to experience as much as possible….haha oh well, whatever it is…its a bug and a bear…who knows …we feel our way in the dark and encounter ourselves.
