There’s a new sensation

in the town houses and skyscrapers that fill my body

my universe

a deep vibration

a tingling

a buzzing

a warming of the cockles

a climbing of the vertebra

toe by toe

the field is brimming

the silver army

heads so high

eyes shimmering

the night has touched the sea

and we are kneeling

on a sharp reflection

of fire

    1. you do magic
      really really
i love magic and it thrills me to contemplate the idea that poetry can be like magic…
i read somewhere that children who grow up with the experience of believing in something you can’t see (like easter bunnies and gods and such) are luckier than those who don’t… when I thought about this it connected on a fundamental level to finding our power and discovering th magic in which we are able to manifest and create through the arts and simply the magic of being alive…. there IS a magical intelligence in the cells…im sure of it

  1. My cockles are nice and toasty now.🙂 I love the image brought forward in “sharp reflections of fire”, and also love that my knees involuntarily recoil a little at the thought of kneeling on sharp fire…image or not.
