disappearing bones

of petal strength

and crushed colour

fitful pastel thought

shaping over walls

and the creeping sound

that moves you

and presses you,

slinging into you,

the very song you dream of purging….

and still

in ten thousand years

we are found

mouthing words that bind our seemingly free

the sweet opiate

we swallow with our eyes squeezed shut

in order to continue throwing rice

instead dive

why not,

past the

and pull the teeth that grind those vows

let it happen,

be water on this hardened page

  1. “Love is very compassionate” … It can make one feels like a drunkard … but … whatever comes out of a drunkard’s mouth is the truth from a sacred heart … Because … The treasure of love lies in our hearts … Love can make us see rainbow … in the middle of the afternoon without any rain … It can allow a young teenager to feel so committed without knowing what the future holds … Smiling … That is the reason … “Love is Blind” … And … We can only see the positive aspect of love … So … as to make our dreams come true … That is a fact of life …

  2. love can be an awakening event for sure. but in a different direction that can be a tough thing to achieve based on past experiences – fears of something just not working out. on another note, sometimes vows take the fun out of it as I see it, especially where I see your part of “instead dive why not past the clenching” your next stanza pretty much confirms what i’m thinking of.

  3. Wow! Such terrific, vivid images here! I love the striking toughness of “petal strength” (the power of beauty?), and the closing imperative to “be water on this hardened page” is very wise, very Zen, and more.
