Ear pressed deep,
cheek-plain to grass

Caves of echoing clay
dirt melting
into creases
Moulding delicious thoughts in
dark, muddy hands

Beautiful poem. It’s difficult to find poetry with original images, with words in an order that makes one stop and think. Very thoughtful, still poem. It captured a scene that I now feel like I know.
