CELEBRATE YOUR CHILD
poem number 1
oh
sweetness of peaches
downy skin on mine, i am lost to heaven
~
Without
It’s like winter
without snow,
Or a leaf
without a tree,
Like an arrow
with no bow,
Or a boat
lost at sea,
It’s like sun
with no shine,
Or dry land
with no blue sky above,
Like a song
with no rhyme,
Or feathers
with no dove,
This would be the life
of someone
without
love.

Little boy sings sweet
songs to self, songs to sleep as
if dreaming awake.
(I love that you did this. Children are magic in its purest form, and should be celebrated accordingly. 🙂 )

I miss the peach-down skin from poem #1. My monkey’s skin is starting to feel like that of a little boy, and he frequently smells of a) the last thing he ate or b) little boy sweat (which is actually a delicious smell in itself) 🙂

words spoken
may soon pass away
and forgotten be,
but when spoken
in love and kindness,
are like beautiful flowers,
and even though
they fade and die
from conscious memory,
their fragrance lives on
embedded in the
deeper mind
forever

My sons, both have found love and I am proud
for love is something I shared
they see me alone but not unhappy because
I’m staying in love
together we are creating more love and so the cycle
continues until
it spreads to another who brings it back
to me
where I am blessed
and therefore
I can love them even more
