Real

take off your makeup

and your clothes

rid yourself

of fear that clutters

your god’s markmaking

slough off the murky bitter

the security blankets that shroud you

like oppression

like religion

kick the habit

wear your skin like the fucking fleshly vestment that it is

pay tribute to your creative force

the life painter

the lover who kisses

moment after moment after precious endless moment

proud of the time it took to reach now

feeling you exquisitely

from the inside

the glow

the glow

you wash me

with

the green

that creates your eyes

and through this secret window

in virtual reality

becomes my body

a teasing display

of

dancing

conundrum

naked from the waist down,

throwing gems like a potter,

a world of spinning rainbows,

plucking a single colour

magnificent

beneath breathing skin

branching out

in a forest flooded

with words

emerging

fissures in me

in my skin

in my density

slices of hot light

stretching

tearing

me

spaces

sweet with glow

i am slipping

out

through

blades of woven grass

curving

between

smiling grains

of

molten glass

my

breath is

gilded time

my flesh has split like pomegranate

and I am sailing

a slow

syrup

welcome

was she even there?

and do you think I could see her,

feel her

smell her?

do you think I could find her

flower-eyed

softness,

her flowing pelt,

her intrepid glee…?

I heard her purring,

permeating,

beneath me

I am sure,

within my  own blossoming pages…

still….

was she even there

or

was she just a wisp

a climbing, fleeting moment

of undue grace…   ?

meant to be

absorbed

dissolved

tasted

but

never

Towers of Ecstasy

my response to Rainer Maria Rilke’s Duino Elegies  , below is the fifth of ten poems.

This body

rising fleshly

dough

bursting flowers forth

the hue of singular purpose

though unknown

peeking blue by blue

over brickwork

through little windows

purple red and gold

the light brings peace

while

stepping on trembling steps

controlled by rusty beat

copied in astrological brainstorm

a supernova idea

easily lost in this puddle

easily sweetly

dissolving

though at the core

the foundation

smoother and heavier than stone

I Serenade You

a response to Rainer Maria Rilke’s Duino Elegies  below is the  second of ten poems.

Noble words revolve

like wisps passing through my stars

touching grace.

A temporary, fractious glory

flings my arms like backward wings

with feather tips,

spread in sweet torture.

Wandering tension throbs in this dark belly of thought,

the first birth or dismembering of consciousness,

buttering me with music

sugaring my experience

gifting me with choice

to see the autumn harmony

falling on invisible shoulders

and nuzzle in to hummus here.

OH luminosity and wrath,

what is my excuse for garnering golden borders

where only liquid song slides?

I Make You Move

I am silk on my

pretty bicycle

red wings and fearlessness

I am a brazen bee

flying heart first

and chanting

my fingers pass like spirit

over

teasing lips

a fay cast with cherry juice joy

I live in the mind of all things

I make you move.
