Love Smiles

I already knew
How this blossom would unfold
A perfumed meeting

Sweet-Skin Child

I offer my cup to you,

sip

sip

sweet-skin child

woman not quite.

I stroke your mind

with

words,

encouraging in their colour.

Your hopeful eyes

hardly blink.

Your body tips forward

floating flowers fill your ears,

l o v e yourself l o v e yourself l o v e yourself

My mother thumbs

gently mould,

I can see

YOU !

Wings sail your soul and your glory a spray of ultra marine

my palms and heart are clean,

my mind a pillow for your fear.

Take your silver coin

my darling,

ride the light be free.

I Taste Everything

I was a baby eating flowers

until soft fingers dug

the colour

from my mouth.

Mud-pies when I was two

but they pinched my cheeks

and yelled at me to

‘SPIT’

Dog food at five,

mmmm

no-one knew.

At ten I smoked grass from the rabbit cage,

rolled in newspaper,

so cool!

 8 cigarettes in a row,

when I was 12

and threw up all night long.

I suck shells from the beach now,

the taste of salt,

I like it.

I taste everything.

If I am to be on Earth,

I feel

It is the least I can do.

Love Swept The Breeze Away

Fresh and cool it entered

then swayed and left,

or seemed to,

me and you,

the saddest

flowers

in the sun.

But the heat that kissed the space just above my skin

told me the truth

I didn’t know until then.

Time entered and sighed and I listened so hard,

I pressed my ear against the

tight spot  in my heart.

Feathers ruffled, a moment shuffled,

the breeze stung my eyes and made me cry (it didn’t mean to).

Breath filled me and called me and kissed me

on the inside.

Love shifted and swayed and seemed to say,

a word that only

the tight spot,

deep in my heart needed to hear.

one

soft,

perfectly

fragrant

word…..
